Another book down

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

Got another book out of the way. Last night I finished “The Last Juror” by John Grisham. I gotta be honest with ya. This one was very good but it took some perseverance at times to get through it. And the ENDING… It wasn’t what I expected but it wasn’t too much of a twist that would make you say “oh my God, I didn’t see that one coming”.

I recommend it. I give it 4 BoiseBLoggers.

Winter Wonderland

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

The snow is predicted to fall for the next 7 plus days. I can’t believe it. After the last few years we are finally getting back to a normal winter. This is a bit disappointing in another way, though. I was really looking forward to the global warming getting rid of winter. I guess I’ll have to move if I want that to happen.

On another note: I heard on the news yesterday about that poor woman who was 9 months pregnant and then killed in a head-on collision. I can’t imagine anyone who wouldn’t be moved by hearing that.

Ebay scammer gets slammed

Tuesday, January 8th, 2008

I’m browsing the web today. Going through my bookmarks to read some blogs I haven’t read lately. This one blog… which I can’t remember at the moment… has a Youtube video posted about an ebay scammer. Everyone knows that there are scammers on ebay. You just have to use a little common sense to get around them. Others, however, are openly deceptive and honest people fall prey.

The following video is about one of those scammers. Her name is Kelly Filkins. I tried to find out where she lives and what her husbands name is, but I couldn’t dig up that info. Of the two, the husband is the smarter. They both are dumb, but the wife (Kelly) is the dumber of the two. She actually shows up to court to defend her position. She didn’t just show up to court. She shows up to Judge Judy on NATIONAL TELEVISION to defend her position. The husband decided to stay home to watch the kids.

Here is the video:
